SSII - Electronic Survey

Only few days before Ouaga Innovation Workshop! Please, contribute to the second electronic survey on scouting and sharing agricultural innovations in West and Central Africa.

In October 2007, a first electronic consultation was launched within the Scouting and Sharing Innovations Initiative (SSSI) moderated by IFAD in collaboration with CTA, ROPPA, UNIFEM and WARF. During the first consultation, several people helpfully contributed innovations by answering to 4 questions (see summary at:htpp//:innovation.fidafrique.net)

This second consultation is a continuation of the first one launched in October 2007. It aims mainly to further certain issues stemming from the previous consultation. It also aims to prepare the fore coming fair workshop by IFAD in collaboration with CTA ROPPA UNIFEM WARF and CSAO/OCDE on 23-26 June 2008 in Ouagadougou.

The event is co-organised by partners with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Resources of Burkina Faso and hosted by WAEMU.

So, we warmly request your replies and contributions to the following questions

1) What are the concrete gender based agricultural innovations successfully experimented?

2) What policies, strategies, methodologies turned effective in the promotion and life of agricultural innovations in the region?

3) What are the roles, synergies and partnerships possible between public and private actors (examples: producers, rural organizations, and enterprises)

4) What are the innovative techniques and practices of real potential of replication, adaptation and dissemination of regional scope, you have identified within your development programme or in that of your partners?

Your replies to all these questions or to one of them are to be directed to: innovation@fidafrique.net
