IFAD and WARF have developed over the last few years, collaborative relationships materialised by contracts and grant agreements. It is particularly on:
the participation of WARF, since 2005, in the programmes of the FIDAfrique network wherein it developed and implemented a methodology of capitalization of experiences. WARF also trained project teams on how to use the methodology;
the authority of WARF to manage the grant on management capacity strengthening of IFAD funded projects in West and Central Africa in 2006
the current grant on Monitoring and Evaluation
This collaboration illustrates the similarities of vision between the two institutions in regard of the development of African competences in the field of rural Development as well as IFAD concern for a complementarity in the field interventions.
