The activities target :
The core teams of IFAD funded projects in WCA including project coordinator, the person in charge of the administration and finance, the monitoring and evaluation specialists and other key staff
Representatives of IFAD Funded projects partners including staff of the relevant implementing agencies, representative groups of IFAD funded projects beneficiaries, key relevant ministries staff and representatives of other key stakeholders
Training institutions in the WCA regions and individual trainers and/or relevant resource persons
The programme intervenes in the following countries :
Group 1 - Senegal, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Benin, Mauritania, Cape verde, Cote d’ivoire, Togo, Guinéa Bissau
Group 2 - Burkina Faso, Congo, D.R.Congo, Chad, Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic, Sao Tome and Principe
Group 3 - The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone.
These activities have three components :
1. Assessment of training needs
2. Development of training manuals
3. Training activities
